Über
The LPN Float Pool nurse delivers direct, compassionate, and culturally sensitive patient care in accordance with the nursing care plan and under the direction of a Registered Nurse and/or provider. You will perform head-to-toe assessments within your scope, monitor vital signs and patient status, administer medications and treatments safely and accurately, and promptly report changes in condition. You will assist with admission, discharge, and transfer processes; reinforce patient and family education; and contribute to care planning and documentation in the electronic medical record.
As a float pool team member, you will adapt to different units—including medical-surgical, step-down, telemetry, sub-acute, and select specialty areas—demonstrating strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to LifeBridge Health’s standards of quality and patient safety. You will collaborate closely with RNs, providers, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care, maintain infection prevention practices, and ensure a safe, healing environment. You will also assist with procedures, specimen collection, wound care, and basic diagnostic preparations as appropriate to your training and unit assignment.

Strong critical thinking, time management, and organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment. This full-time position may include a combination of day, evening, night, weekend, and holiday shifts, with differential pay according to organizational policy.
