Read on to find out what you will need to succeed in this position, including skills, qualifications, and experience.
CellCore Biosciences is a practitioner-first health and wellness company delivering high-quality dietary supplements to healthcare providers and their patients. Our technology team operates a growing Shopify-based DTC and B2B ecosystem integrated with Salesforce, SAP Business One, Klaviyo, MuleSoft, Microsoft Fabric, and Power BI. We are scaling rapidly and building the operational infrastructure to support it.
*The Role*
This is the most operationally critical technical hire under the CTO. The DevOps Specialist owns the day-to-day execution engine of CellCore's engineering operation — not server infrastructure in the traditional sense, but the people, process, and tooling that govern how work gets planned, prioritized, and shipped.
You will be the co-owner of the DevOps Playbook v 4.0 (our backlog management framework built in Wrike), responsible for enforcing stage discipline across a 10-stage intake-to-release pipeline, running weekly grooming with the CTO, and ensuring every committed task reaches production on time and without regressions.
*? You are the operational backbone between the CTO's strategic priorities and what actually ships.*
Every committed task that enters the pipeline flows through you — from subitem decomposition to sprint sequencing, peer review coordination, release readiness, and post-mortem closure.
*Core Responsibilities*
*Intake & Backlog Management*
? Own stages 1.2 In Review and 1.4 Committed in the DevOps Playbook v4.0 pipeline
? Co-score every task with the CTO using RICE methodology (Reach × Impact ×Confidence / Effort) before commitment
? Classify all changes under the CAB matrix: Standard, Normal, Normal w/ CTO Review, or Emergency
? Decompose committed parent tasks into sprint-sized subitems routed to 2.1 Ready for Sprint, 2.2 Time-Block, or 2.3 Design-Block
? Enforce field completeness gates — no task advances without Priority Tag, RICE Score, CAB Classification, and Business Justification
? Maintain Icebox discipline: flag and manage tasks in 1.5.1-1.5.4 with documented blocker resolution paths
*Sprint Execution*
? Manage the full sprint workflow: Requirements Gathering ? Plan ? Ready for Sprint ? Execute/Build ? In Review ? Testing ? Ready for Release ? Released ? Done
? Sequence and prioritize the sprint queue by Priority Tag (Now > Next > Later) and RICE Score
? Coordinate engineer assignments and track Guesstimate Hours vs. actual across all active subitems
? Own the 2.5 Delayed folder — enforce Hold status on entry, manage re-prioritization, and escalate tasks aged beyond 60 days
? Conduct technical peer review at stage 2.6 In Review for all Normal and Major CAB changes
*Release & Deployment*
? Own the Ready for Release checklist: deployment notes, rollback procedures, change window scheduling, and stakeholder notification
? Execute production smoke tests post-deployment and confirm error rate stability before marking a task Released
? Maintain rollback snapshots before every grooming session and any high-risk operation (72-hour window enforced)
? Enforce UAT sign-off protocols by change class: self-test for Standard, staging + DevOps sign-off for Normal, full UAT with stakeholder documentation for Major
*Tooling & Automation*
? Configure and maintain Wrike automation rules governing status transitions, folder entry rules, and age escalation alerts
? Maintain and extend the Wrike integration Python client (REST API) for backlog reporting, task operations, and snapshot/rollback capabilities
? Administer Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics (GA4), and Search Console deployments for CellCore and Biocidin Botanicals
? Support Shopify app integrations, CI/CD pipeline health, and platform monitoring across the technology stack
*Grooming & Process Governance*
? Co-facilitate the weekly Monday 60-minute backlog grooming session with the CTO — this is a required, no-skip ceremony
? Prepare pre-grooming snapshots, Wrike stage counts, and pre-meeting flags (unsubitemmed Committed tasks, 30-day Delayed items, new Inbox volume) 10 minutes before each session
? Maintain all DevOps runbooks and stage definition documentation in the it-documents GitHub repo (currently at 15 files, Playbook v4.0)
? Produce weekly health score reports: pipeline stage counts, stale task flags, no-assignee items, and status-integrity issues
? Own the post-mortem process — ensure all Done tasks receive retrospective notes before archival at 30 days
*What We're Looking For*
*Required*
? 3+ years in a DevOps, technical operations, or release engineering role — ideally at a DTC/e-commerce company
? Demonstrated experience owning a structured backlog management system (Wrike, Jira, Linear, or equivalent) with stage-gate discipline
? Hands-on Wrike administration: custom statuses, automation rules, folder hierarchies, and REST API integration
? Fluency in RICE scoring, CAB classification, and sprint-based prioritization frameworks
? Python scripting for API operations and workflow automation
? Experience coordinating releases across multiple engineers: peer review, UAT, staging/production deployments, rollback procedures
? Strong documentation instinct — able to write and maintain runbooks, stage definitions, and process guides
*Strongly Preferred*
? Shopify Plus or comparable e-commerce platform experience — understanding of app integrations, theme deploys, and API changes
? Familiarity with Google Tag Manager, GA4, and Search Console from a technical administration perspective
? Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Autopilot, and MDM device management (BEMO or equivalent)
? Exposure to MuleSoft, SAP Business One, or Salesforce integration environments
? Prior work in a health, wellness, or regulated consumer products company
*Who You Are*
? You are obsessive about process fidelity — a stage that allows incomplete metadata through is a broken stage
? You can run a 60-minute grooming session without the CTO needing to ask about task state — you come with the data
? You flag problems early and document decisions; you do not let tasks silently age
? You are comfortable being the blocker-remover: pinging requesters, escalating stale Icebox items, and making the pipeline move
You treat the Playbook as a living document you maintain, not a reference you occasionally consult
*Compensation & Benefits*
CellCore offers a competitive compensation package commensurate with experience, including:
? Competitive base salary — range disclosed during initial screen
? Performance-based incentive tied to pipeline health and release velocity metrics
? Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits
? Access to CellCore products and practitioner wellness program
? Hybrid work flexibility — Palm Beach Gardens, FL (PGA Blvd office)
? xawqmyg Direct access to and mentorship from the CTO
? Opportunity to own and evolve the DevOps Playbook as the company scales toward the 10-engineer team
Pay: $115,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * Dental insurance * Employee assistance program * Employee discount * Flexible spending account * Health insurance * Health savings account * Life insurance * Paid time off * Parental leave * Vision insurance
