Position Summary
The Multi-Modality Radiology Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures across multiple modalities (such as X-ray, CT, MRI, and/or Ultrasound) to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. This role ensures high-quality imaging, patient safety, and compliance with regulatory standards while delivering compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures in multiple modalities according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging exams, ensuring comfort and safety.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, reporting any malfunctions promptly.
- Verify patient identification and review medical history for accurate imaging.
- Adhere to radiation safety standards and infection control guidelines.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate interpretation of images.
- Document procedures and maintain accurate patient records in the electronic health system.
- Provide patient education regarding procedures and address questions or concerns.
- Participate in continuing education to maintain certifications and stay current with technological advancements.
