Kindred Hospital Dayton and Behavioral Health Unit (BHU) is a 97-bed hospital. With 51 long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) beds, we offer the same in-depth care you would receive in a traditional hospital, but for an extended recovery period. Our 46-bed behavioral health unit offers treatment for adults ages 18+, including dedicated services for geriatric patients. The unit offers 24-hour supervised psychiatric treatment and crisis support for mental health issues and like the LTACH, we partner with your physician and offer 24-hour clinical care seven days a week so you can start your journey to wellness. We are located downtown Dayton near the I-75 and I-35 junction, to the west of the Great Miami River.
Job Summary
The Radiology Manager is responsible for the daily operations and oversight of imaging services, including staffing, clinical quality, regulatory compliance, and resource management. This role ensures efficient and effective delivery of diagnostic and therapeutic radiology services, supports staff development, and collaborates with physicians and hospital leadership to enhance patient care and departmental performance.
Essential Functions
  • Oversees daily operations of radiology services, including staffing, workflow, and equipment use
  • Ensures compliance with clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical standards
  • Assists with budget development, monitors expenses, and supports cost-effective operations
  • Supervises technologists and support staff including hiring, training, evaluation, and discipline
  • Maintains departmental policies, quality assurance protocols, and radiation safety programs
  • Coordinates with radiologists, physicians, and other departments to support patient care delivery
  • Monitors and improves imaging service performance, patient satisfaction, and regulatory readiness
  • Integrates evidence-based practices into clinical protocols and operations
  • Supports and contributes to hospital-wide quality improvement and safety initiatives
  • Performs diagnostic radiographs and assists with procedures when needed

Qualifications
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Sciences, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred

Licenses/Certifications
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required
  • State licensure as applicable
  • BLS certification required

Experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in diagnostic radiology (including fluoro and c-arm)
  • Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of radiology procedures, equipment, and safety standards
