Weaver Consultants Group, an environmental, civil and geotechnical engineering consulting firm, is seeking to expand our Environmental Practice Group in our Harrisburg office. We are seeking qualified, degreed professionals who will thrive in a fast-paced and challenging work environment. Primary Responsibilities
* ASTM Phase I and Phase II ESAs
* Soil excavation oversight and confirmation sampling
* Conduct soil, groundwater, and soil-gas sampling
* Oversee soil boring and monitor well installation
* Document review and reporting including laboratory data analysis
* Preparation of groundwater elevation contour maps and geologic cross sections
Qualifications
* BS in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or related field
* At least 1-4 years of experience in environmental consulting highly preferred
* Strong technical writing skills
* Ability to travel 40-50% (primarily local), occasionally on short notice
* Strong Microsoft Office Word and Excel skills
* Valid Driver's License
* Must communicate effectively with team members, managers, subcontractors, and on-site personnel
* Able to work independently with limited guidance and be detail-oriented
* Strong understanding of and commitment to health and safety protocols
* Willing to work outside in a variety of climates and traverse tough terrain
* Willing to work at active industrial properties
* Willing to work over and/or outside of regular business hours, as needed
* 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification a plus
Integral to the position will be proficiency in review, interpretation, and application of local, federal, and state environmental regulations, as well as detailed standards from organizations such as ASTM. The qualified person would prepare supporting reports associated with the above-listed activities in accordance with applicable standards and agency regulations. The selected candidate would work in a team environment with senior staff providing support, guidance, and mentorship as needed.
