* Job Description:
General Role and Responsibilities:
To assist the teacher, achieve teaching Objectives by working with individual students or small groups to help them achieve the skill levels of the class as a whole.
General Skills and Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Prior job experience preferred
* Meet requirements to be highly qualified
Specific Responsibilities in This Position:
* To work with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning of material or skills initially introduced by the teacher
* To assist the teacher in reinforcing materials or skills based on the understanding of individual students, their NEEDS, interest and abilities
* Will help student's master equipment or instructional materials assigned by the teach to provide on-going skill development
* To guide independent study, enrichment work and remedial work set up and assigned by the teacher
* To assist with the supervision of students
* To participate in in-service training programs as assigned
* To maintain the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of all staff
