Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Durham, NC for a Head Chef. The Head Chef will oversee kitchen operations, manage menu development, and lead the culinary team to deliver exceptional quality dishes. Key responsibilities include ensuring proper food preparation and presentation, maintaining kitchen cleanliness and organization, managing inventory and vendor relationships, and training kitchen staff. The Head Chef will also collaborate with management to implement seasonal menu changes and uphold the restaurant's high standards.
Qualifications Strong culinary skills in food preparation, presentation, and recipe development Experience in leading kitchen teams, training staff, and managing workflows Proficiency in inventory management, ordering, and vendor coordination Commitment to maintaining high standards for food safety and kitchen cleanliness Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities Familiarity with seasonal and locally-sourced ingredients is a plus Culinary degree or equivalent professional kitchen experience preferred Passion for excellence in food and customer service
