The Radiographer is responsible for adhering to established imaging protocols, applying radiation protection techniques, and following all regulatory and accreditation standards to ensure patient and staff safety. You will assess patients before, during, and after procedures, explain imaging processes in a compassionate and understandable manner, and respond appropriately to any changes in patient condition. The role also includes maintaining exam rooms and equipment in a clean, functional, and ready state; documenting procedures, contrast use, and patient information accurately in the electronic health record; and assisting with quality control checks, equipment troubleshooting, and coordination of service when needed.
Aligned with Presbyterian Healthcare’s culture of patient-care, respect, integrity, accountability, and safety, the Radiographer will demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills, treating every patient and family member with dignity and empathy. You will work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, contribute to workflow efficiency, help prioritize imaging requests based on clinical urgency, and support throughput in the emergency department, inpatient units, and outpatient settings as assigned. Participation in on-the-job training, continuing education, and competency assessments is expected to maintain current knowledge of best practices, new technology, and evolving protocols.
Employees at Presbyterian Healthcare can expect a collaborative work environment, opportunities for professional growth, and engagement in meaningful health outcomes. As a Radiographer, you will have the opportunity to expand your skills across multiple clinical areas, precept or mentor new team members or students when appropriate, and contribute to department quality-improvement initiatives. This position typically requires flexibility to work a rotating schedule, which may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as participation in an on-call rotation depending on departmental needs. In return, you will be part of a mission-driven organization that values your expertise, supports your professional development, and recognizes the vital role diagnostic imaging plays in delivering safe, high-quality patient care.
