As the Payroll Administrator at our Melbourne Headquarters, you will administer the payroll function to enhance departmental efficiency and ensure accurate recordkeeping. This role is responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll, maintaining payroll and team member records, and providing administrative and clerical support to the Human Resources department. The Payroll Administrator also serves as a resource to team members and leaders by assisting with payroll, HR systems, time and attendance, benefits coordination, and related inquiries.
Payroll Administrator Compensation
  • Starting Salary: $22.18 - $22.68
  • Bonus Opportunity : Eligible for ONE SCCU Annual Bonus

Payroll Administrator Responsibilities
  • Process bi-weekly payroll, including hours, wages, bonuses, deductions, taxes, and reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with SCCU policies and regulations.
  • Maintain employee data and records across HR, payroll, and timekeeping systems; manage I-9s, employment verifications, garnishments, subpoenas, and audit-ready documentation.
  • Support leave administration by coordinating SCCU-managed and Prudential-managed leaves, short-term disability, and related payroll/timekeeping updates.
  • Assist employees and managers with payroll, HR systems, time & attendance, benefits, and policy questions through clear, professional communication.
  • Provide administrative support to HR, including reporting, filing, correspondence, event coordination, and general office operations to enhance departmental efficiency.

Payroll Administrator Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • HR-related coursework preferred
  • Proficiency in automated payroll, time and attendance, and HRIS systems
  • 3-5 years of payroll processing experience required
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Strong Excel skills preferred
  • Experience with UKG Pro HRIS module preferred

Work Schedule
  • Monday - Friday 8am -5pm
  • This position is Hybrid with 2 days per week required in office
