Cheer Coach
The Kern High School District is seeking a qualified and motivated High School Cheer Team Coach. The coach will be responsible for providing instruction, supervision, and leadership to student-athletes while promoting academic achievement, sportsmanship, and compliance with all California Interscholastic Federation (CIF), district, and site policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and conduct practices and competitions in accordance with CIF rules and district guidelines
- Teach sport-specific skills, strategies, and conditioning techniques appropriate for high school athletes
- Supervise student-athletes during practices, competitions, travel, and team activities
- Foster a positive team culture emphasizing sportsmanship, character, equity, and respect
- Ensure compliance with CIF bylaws, league rules, eligibility requirements, and
