Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Med/Surg (Level 1)

Unit: Acute Care Medical/Surgical

• Position Type: Travel / Contract
• Duration: Typically 13 Weeks (standard unless specified otherwise)
• Shift: Day/Night Rotation (D/N)
• Schedule: Variable (based on unit needs)
• Hours: Part-Time

Finger Lakes Health is seeking a Med/Surg RN (Level 1) to provide direct patient care in an acute care hospital setting . The RN will manage a diverse patient population with general medical conditions and post-surgical needs.

• Deliver direct bedside nursing care to Med/Surg patients
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, vitals, and symptoms
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Coordinate care with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation
• Educate patients and families on treatment and discharge plans

• Active RN License (NY State)
• BLS Certification (AHA)
• 1 2+ years of Med/Surg acute care experience
• Ability to work rotating Day/Night shifts

• Travel nursing experience
• Experience in:
  • Acute care hospital settings
  • Higher patient acuity environments
• Familiarity with EMR systems (Epic preferred)

• Acute care hospital

• Requires flexibility with rotating shifts (Day/Night)

• Strong Med/Surg RN with acute care experience
• Flexible and adaptable to rotating shifts
• Efficient with patient load and documentation
