Description
The Assistant Golf Professional supports the daily golf operations of a public golf course, ensuring an outstanding experience for all guests. This role combines customer service, tournament operations, instruction, merchandising, and staff support while promoting the game of golf in a welcoming, inclusive environment.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily golf shop operations, POS transactions, and tee time flow
- Provide outstanding customer service in a high-volume environment
- Assist with tournaments, leagues, and special events
- Help maintain pace of play and course policies
- Provide individual and group instruction as assigned
- Support merchandising, inventory, and retail sales
- Assist with staff training and supervision; act as professional on duty when needed
Qualifications
- PGA Member or Associate preferred (or willingness to enroll)
- Experience in high-volume golf or customer-service environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
