The IT User Experience department at our client is dedicated to improving the usability and overall experience of internal and customer facing applications. We are committed to fostering a design and development environment that places the end user at the center of all IT related processes and products. As a part of this commitment, we are seeking a skilled UX designer who can rapidly design user interfaces for an interactive configurator application. An ideal candidate will have worked as part of a cross-functional team and be able to effectively contribute to the design of consistent and reusable patterns. Interest in test-driven iteration. Essential duties and responsibilities: Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to develop and execute interactive and visual design Work directly with internal stakeholders and clients, as part of a cross-functional agile team, to interpret and understand unique user and business needs Document requirements during sprint planning meetings and produce annotated wireframes for client approval Conduct competitive analysis for product design, documenting competitive functions and features Quickly move from requirement gathering to concept design Rapidly develop working prototypes to communicate with key stakeholders Participate in daily stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives Plan and execute usability testing Demonstrates the following skills and behaviors: Strong analytical skills with attention to detail Basic understanding of general good software development practices Maintain awareness of new and emerging technologies and their potential applications in the digital product design space Rapid iteration of design concepts Willingness to collaborate on ambiguous problems, in real-time Proficient understanding of browser compatibility constraints Good interpersonal and communication skills A driven personality, and ability to work with minimal supervision Ability to deliver on-time, on-budget, quality deliverables within a Scrum development team Required knowledge and experience: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Graphic Design, Digital Product Design, or related field 4+ years in a UX design role for software and web applications A portfolio of client work in the digital product design space Demonstrate understanding of user-centered design, web and mobile app principals, and the value of user testing/feedback Firm understanding of UX best practices Excellent communication skills, written and verbal Experience presenting creative vision and recommendations to clients.
