Physical Therapy Assistant

Our client, a healthcare company, is looking for a Physical Therapy Assistant for their Lamar, CO location.

Responsibilities:

• The PTA will implement selected components of patient/client interventions (treatment), obtain data related to the interventions provided, and make modifications in selected interventions either to progress the patient/client as directed by the physical therapist or to ensure patient/client safety and comfort.
• PTA's assist the physical therapist in the treatment of individuals of all ages, from newborns to the elderly, who have medical problems or other health-related conditions that limit their abilities to move and perform functional activities in their daily lives. Patient care is provided as in-patient, outpatient and home health settings.
• The Physical Therapist Assistant reports directly to the Rehabilitation Manager.

Requirements:

• Must have Inpatient Experience the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) will work as part of a team to provide physical therapy service under the direction and supervision of the physical therapist.
• Must be a graduate of and have a certificate from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Must be currently credentialed by Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies, Division of Professions and Occupations, State Physical Therapy Board.
• Must have verification card of current instruction in BLS.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience primarily outpatient experience preferred.
• Bi-lingual capabilities are helpful.
