Are you a compassionate mission-driven medical assistant looking to make a meaningful impact on the lives of complex medical patients? As a medical assistant at P3 Health Partners, you'll bring hope and healing to patients with complex medical needs. In this full-time role, you'll be a vital member of an interdisciplinary team, transforming lives and empowering primary care physicians to deliver exceptional care to those who need it most.

This role requires a multifaceted approach, encompassing all aspects of care delivery. Comprehensive geriatric assessments may be conducted in-office, via telemedicine, or through on-site visits at senior facilities, patient homes, dialysis centers, and other appropriate locations. Your role, within your scope of practice, for the comprehensive geriatric evaluation of patients will include, but not limited to, obtaining vitals signs and administering geriatric assessment tools followed by sharing these results with the provider.

Essential functions include conducting visits in coordination with other P3 team members in a variety of settings, escalating concerns discovered in a patient visit to the designated provider or appropriate team member, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to support coordinated, value-based care, verifying patient information utilizing 2 unique identifiers; obtaining vital signs, administering geriatric assessment tools, recording medical history and medications for review by provider and/or pharmacist, performing various procedures (i.e. venipuncture, ear lavage, medication administration) and specimen handling, performing administrative duties as necessary as a member of the team, maintaining a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations, identifying supplies requiring ordering to the appropriate team member, keeping equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs, enhancing practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments, communicating opportunities to advance the clinical model, confidently using technology provided, ensuring patient privacy and adherence to all HIPAA regulations and standards for handling PHI, participating in quality improvement initiatives, documentation audits, and other activities that support clinical excellence and operational efficiency, maintaining compliance with required trainings, entries into the medical record, meeting attendance, and other requirements, and role modeling the P3 Health Partners core values.

Qualifications include Medical Assistant Certification, experience in home care or house call settings preferred, experience in geriatric care preferred, a flexible, self-driven, collaborative and innovative personality, occasionally traveling within Omaha and Lincoln, NE for patient visits external to P3 facility, and a pay range of $20.00 - $26.00 per hour based on experience.
