We are seeking a full time or part time *Licensed Veterinary Technician*. MUST have at least 3 years experience.
We are a privately owned general practice located in South Slope Brooklyn that opened in 2011. Responsibilities include assisting the veterinarians, highly capable in canine and feline restraint, proficient in venipuncture, catheter placement, diagnostic imaging, and be comfortable communicating, educating clients and providing compassionate patient care. Proficiency in AVImark is a plus, but not required.
The ideal candidate must be able to multitask, be detail oriented, punctual, reliable and be a compassionate team player with a positive attitude.
Benefits offered include; PTO, health insurance, 401k and discounted veterinary care for full time employee. Part time is PTO and discounted veterinary care.
Salary is based on experience and skills.

*Responsibilities and Skills*
* Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures by preparing equipment, maintaining aseptic techniques, and monitoring patient status.
* Maintain detailed medical records, update patient charts, and document all procedures accurately in compliance with clinic protocols.
* Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating effectively.
* Proven experience as a Veterinary Technician with proficiency in veterinary terminology and technical procedures.
* Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and veterinary critical care practices.
* Experience with laboratory testing techniques and interpreting results accurately.
* Skilled and comfortable in dog and cat restraint techniques.
* Familiarity with dental terminology related to pet dentistry procedures.
* Knowledge of aseptic techniques necessary for surgical preparation and infection control.
* Competence in radiography (X-ray) operation
