As a CT Technologist with LifeBridge Health in our Healthcare & Medical Services department, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging that supports accurate and timely patient care. Working within a collaborative, patient-centered environment, you will perform CT procedures in accordance with physician orders, departmental protocols, and regulatory standards while providing compassionate care to a diverse patient population. In this role, you will prepare patients for CT examinations by reviewing medical histories, explaining procedures, verifying screening criteria, and ensuring proper patient positioning and comfort. You will operate CT scanners and related equipment to acquire high-quality images, optimize technical factors to reduce radiation dose, and follow ALARA principles at all times. You will start and monitor IV lines for contrast administration when required, assess patients for potential contraindications, and promptly recognize and respond to adverse reactions or changes in patient condition. You will collaborate closely with radiologists, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team to clarify protocols, communicate critical findings, and ensure exams are performed efficiently and accurately. Responsibilities include verifying physician orders, confirming correct patient identification, and ensuring all images and documentation are complete, accurate, and properly transferred within the PACS/RIS systems. You will assist with scheduling coordination, exam prioritization, and workflow management to meet departmental throughput and quality goals. LifeBridge Health emphasizes continuous improvement and innovation, so you will be expected to maintain current knowledge of CT technology, imaging protocols, and radiation safety practices, and to participate in ongoing training, competency validation, and quality assurance activities. You will help calibrate and troubleshoot equipment, report malfunctions promptly, and support process improvements that enhance image quality, patient safety, and operational efficiency. The position requires consistent adherence to infection prevention practices, regulatory and accreditation standards, and all LifeBridge Health policies. You will maintain accurate patient records, complete required documentation in the electronic health record, safeguard patient privacy, and support a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment. You may be scheduled for rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call coverage based on departmental needs. As part of LifeBridge Health, a regional healthcare organization in Maryland dedicated to compassionate care and community engagement, you will have access to professional development opportunities, educational resources, and potential career advancement across hospitals, specialty centers, and community health settings. This role is ideal for a CT Technologist who is passionate about patient care, committed to high standards of imaging quality and safety, and eager to contribute to a collaborative team focused on improving health and well-being in the communities we serve.
