Quality Assurance Manager Direct Hire Opening - with excellent benefits, 410k match, PTO, bonus etc. Location: Duluth, GA area Summary: We're seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead and maintain our ISO 9001-compliant Quality Management System (QMS). In this role, you will oversee supplier quality, product inspections, compliance, and process improvements to ensure our manufacturing operations meet the highest standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and leadership to drive a culture of quality excellence. Duties / Responsibilities: Quality Management & Compliance
* Develop, maintain, and enforce the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001 * Maintain material test reports (MTRs), certificates of conformance (COCs), and customer-required documentation * Oversee instrument testing and calibration programs
Supplier & Material Quality
* Lead the Supplier Management Program, ensuring supplier quality compliance * Work with purchasing to qualify and manage suppliers, resolving quality issues * Oversee incoming material inspections and manage outside processing (OP) inspections
Production Quality & Process Control
* Support production teams with quality assurance and process improvements * Conduct in-process inspections including dimensional verification, weld inspections, and coating inspections * Perform or oversee non-destructive testing (NDT) when required * Manage product testing, audits, and release approvals
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
* Manage and develop the Quality Assurance team, ensuring high performance * Lead training and certification of QA personnel and facility welders * Drive continuous improvement initiatives for quality and process optimization
Qualifications:
* BS in Engineering or other relevant technical degree OR equivalent work experience in manufacturing/metal fabrication * Hands-on experience with quality management systems in a manufacturing environment * Strong knowledge of welding processes, coatings, and fabrication standards
Technical Skills & Certifications (Preferred)
* CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) - AWS/ASME * CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) - ASQ or equivalent * Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma certification * Knowledge of ASTM, AWWA, and AWS/ASME welding codes * Experience with liquid and powder coatings

* Strong problem-solving and leadership skills * Ability to work independently with initiative and attention to detail * Excellent communication and collaboration skills across teams
