Role Overview The Senior Salesforce Developer will be responsible for the continuous development, enhancement, and maintenance of a large-scale child support management system built on the Salesforce Lightning Platform. This individual will work closely with the IT Office to iteratively design custom applications, execute complex configurations, and provide technical mentorship to the broader development team. Core Responsibilities Play a vital role in iteratively designing and developing custom Salesforce applications. Develop, configure, test, and deploy high-quality, customized Salesforce solutions. Act as a proactive consultant with a deep understanding of platform customization and scalability. Assist in the continuous improvement and enhancement of the existing environment. Support and mentor team members to ensure goal alignment and effective knowledge transfer. Adhere strictly to Salesforce development best practices and organizational standards. Communicate progress, resource needs, and strategic planning with supervisors on a regular basis. Manage project deadlines and requirements effectively in a hybrid work environment. Technical Requirements & Experience Experience: 8+ years in Information Technology, with 5+ years specifically designing and implementing custom applications on the Salesforce Lightning Platform. Frontend Development: Extensive expertise in building Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Aura components, including styling, DOM events, and advanced component communication. Backend Development: Advanced proficiency in Apex, Apex Triggers, and conducting unit tests. Automation: Significant experience building complex Lightning Flows and passing variables between flows and LWCs. Integrations: Proven experience calling external APIs from Salesforce and managing document uploads (Excel, PDF) to cloud storage solutions like Amazon S3. Tools: Experience with Visual Studio Code, Git, and SFDX CLI in conjunction with Dev Hub and scratch orgs. DevOps: Familiarity with release management tools, preferably Copado. Methodology: Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall project management frameworks. Data/Querying: Skilled in developing SOQL and SOSL queries for troubleshooting and data analysis.
