As an
Architectural Sales Engineer – Specification Sales , you will play a critical role in driving early-stage project influence by securing BOPLAN products into architectural and engineering specifications. You will serve as a technical and commercial resource to architects, engineers, general contractors, and design teams, positioning BOPLAN as a trusted safety, compliance, and design partner. This role requires a strong balance of technical knowledge, relationship-building, and consultative selling. You will act as a BOPLAN ambassador, representing our brand, values, and expertise both externally and internally. This is a home-based position and requires approximately 40-50% travel. Responsibilities Specification & Project Influence Promote BOPLAN products to architects, professional engineers (PEs), and A/E firms to achieve inclusion in CSI-format project specifications. Develop, maintain, and deploy reusable specification templates that align with industry and compliance standards. Support general contractors with technical documentation, shop drawings, BIM/CAD files, and submittals to ensure seamless project execution. Education & Relationship Development Conduct Lunch & Learn presentations for architects and engineers, including AIA- and CEU-accredited sessions. Deliver compelling technical presentations that demonstrate BOPLAN’s advantages, including impact resistance, modularity, ease of installation, and lifecycle cost savings. Build and maintain long-term relationships with architectural firms, engineering consultants, and key project stakeholders. Marketing & Content Collaboration Collaborate with the marketing team to develop educational content such as product demonstrations, technical videos, and customer success stories. Support targeted outreach to the architectural and engineering community with content focused on compliance, performance, and aesthetics. Contribute to increased brand visibility through optimized technical content and industry-relevant search terms. Technical & Pre-Construction Support Provide architects and engineers with BIM/CAD libraries, CSI specifications, and design assistance. Assist with shop drawings, submittals, and technical documentation throughout the pre-construction and construction phases. Market Development & Networking Identify and develop opportunities within industrial, logistics, manufacturing, and DOT-related projects. Attend and represent BOPLAN at AIA conferences, safety expos, and industry trade shows. Leverage LinkedIn and professional networks to expand market presence and specification influence. Position BOPLAN as a compliance-driven partner aligned with OSHA, ANSI, and sustainability standards. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil preferred) or Architecture. Minimum of 2 years of experience in engineering, construction, architectural sales, or specification-based selling. Working knowledge of CSI specifications, construction documentation, and BIM/CAD workflows. Understanding of architectural and engineering project lifecycles. Strong communication, presentation, and consultative selling skills. Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business and design value. Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and project management tools. Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently. What We Offer Competitive Compensation Package: Base salary ranging from
$85,000–$100,000 , plus the opportunity to earn up to
