Job Description Job Description South X South Waste is seeking an experienced CDL A or B Roll-Off Driver to join our growing team. This position reports to Dispatch and is responsible for safely operating a roll-off truck hauling materials such as C&D waste, brush, scrap, and other jobsite debris. We are looking for a safety-focused professional who operates equipment responsibly, maintains a professional demeanor with customers and coworkers, and takes pride in delivering quality service. Key Responsibilities
Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and comply with FMCSA and DOT regulations Safely deliver, swap, and remove roll-off containers at job sites Operate hydraulic systems and lifting mechanisms properly and safely Complete all required paperwork and daily logs accurately Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform basic daily service checks Perform routine preventative maintenance such as oil checks, greasing components, changing filters Report all accidents, injuries, or equipment issues immediately Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and wear required PPE at all times Assume other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned by management. Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule
Qualifications & Requirements:
Class A or B CDL required Minimum 3 years of roll-off truck driving experience required. Ability to +/- 60 hours per week to include Saturdays with overtime (hours not guaranteed) Clean driving record Ability to pass DOT physical and drug test Able to lift up to 50 lbs Able to climb in and out of truck multiple times per day using 3 points of contact Able to bend, stoop, and perform full vehicle and container inspections Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
