We are looking for a Shipping Specialist to join our team. You'll be part of a talented group that collaborates to deliver world-class products to our customers. In this role, you will ensure the packaging of all products are properly completed to mitigate against damage in transport and to ensure the proper packages are organized in such a fashion that the correct carrier picks up the packages that were part of that carriers' shipment.Shifts availableMonday through Friday 9:30 am - 6:00 pmA variety of these traits will help land you this job if you have:a High School degree or equivalent GEDthe ability to lift up to 50 pounds continuously for an 8-hour day and to stand for up to 10 hours in a production setting indoorsmanufacturing experience in a production settingprinting industry experience a plusOn top of that you must:possess a thorough and organized approach to your workpay close attention to details on every projecthave basic computer skillsbe self-motivated, a fast learner, and show initiative to seek out customer and corporate needscomplete projects accurately within deadlines, while meeting Company and Customer quality standardsapply effective time management and self-management skillsunderstand and maintain the confidential nature of the company, employee and customer informationbe able to quickly move from one project to other while dealing with a very stressful deadlinebe flexible to changeIn this position you'll:ensure packaging of product is sufficient enough so no damage occurs during shippingcapture all accurate dimensions and weights for all outbound packagesprocess shipments on FedEx, UPS and TBG's internal transportation management system for the most effective transport in the most cost effective and timely fashioncollaborate with the Production Lead, Shipping, to track and monitor packaged material inventory and ensure that materials are maintained at an adequate level in order to meet packaging production shipping demandscommunicate any concerns about packaging inventory meeting limited quantity thresholds so that the production lead can order more inventory in a timely fashionutilize best practices for reduction of costperform miscellaneous projects and completes various tasks as requested by managementTo get hired at The Bernard Group, you MUST be:able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.
