What You'll Do- Manage customers in South Texas to include San Antonio and Corpus Christi.
- Develop market analysis to identify new customers in assigned area.
- Successfully manage current accounts and pursue expanded opportunities within these accounts.
- Provide strong customer service and ensure maximum profitability while at all times remaining focused on safety and business integrity.
- Develop quality working relationships with suppliers and partners.
- Successfully implement new business processes and procedures.
- Assist in collecting outstanding AR.
- Appropriately handle sensitive information of a highly confidential nature.
- Work with other True Company representatives to identify and pursue mutual business opportunities.
- Organize and manage multiple priorities; anticipate and resolve problems proactively.
- At the direction of OCTG Director, the OCTG Sales Rep will plan and implement both short and long range sales, marketing, and development programs targeted at new and existing oilfield equipment markets.
- Learn and understand the competitive environment to develop and implement strategic business plans to drive long-term profitable growth.
- Assist with yearly budgets and forecasts.
- Track preferences of customers or clients to focus sales efforts.
- Involvement in industry social functions and professional organizations.
Required Education, Experience and/or Abilities
- Minimum of two (2) years related sales experience and Bachelor's degree in related business field; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- English language fluency, verbal and written.
- Working knowledge of all types of oilfield equipment, with focus on OCTG's.
- In-depth knowledge of sales and marketing techniques, financial principles, and computer operations.
- Safety-minded and proactive in safe operating practices.
- Highly skilled in oral and written communications; listens and acquires clarification, and responds well to questions.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Preferred Education, Experience and/or Abilities
- Technical degree in science or engineering.
- Professional Sales training.
- Knowledge of oil and gas exploration, completion and production processes.
- Bilingual preferred (specific language depending on store location).
- Must be self-motivated and able to successfully work in an unsupervised environment.
Computer Skills
- Knowledge of the company's reporting systems; Microsoft Office including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Power Point and other related computer systems.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Must have a Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to acquire other Safety Certifications as necessary.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
- Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check, credit check and drug/alcohol test.
