Hybrid Model (Onsite TWR, Remote MF). Ideally working out of the NYC Home office, but will entertain working from the Jersey City office as a last resort.
Job Description Client is seeking an experienced Contract Graphic Designer to support a brand transformation initiative. In this role, you will be a dedicated design resource responsible for taking our newly established brand and visual identity system - including finalized templates and components - and building out associated sales, product, and marketing materials.
This is not a strictly plug-and-play production role. The right candidate brings design acumen including the ability to select imagery, make informed color and layout decisions, and exercise creative judgment within a defined brand framework that elevates the look and feel of our marketing assets. You will work with confidence and independence while staying anchored to brand standards, aligned with business stakeholders and against business objectives.
What You'll Do
Work from established design templates and approved component libraries to produce polished materials across formats including pitch decks, product brochures, fund fact sheets, flyers, digital display and event collateral. Exercise design judgment within the brand system to maintain visual quality and consistency across deliverables, ensuring accurate application of typography, color, imagery, and layout standards. Apply channel-specific best practices (e.g. ad unit sizing, file size constraints and accessibility considerations) while maintaining brand consistency across all digital touchpoints. Manage multiple concurrent design requests with clear prioritization and proactive communication, partnering with a project manager to ensure on-time delivery. Maintain organized file structures, clear naming conventions, and version control throughout the engagement. Partner with the Head of Brand & Creative, Director of Creative Services and Senior Art Director on quality review and flag any inconsistencies or edge cases in brand application. Prepare files for final output including print-ready PDFs and digital formats as required.
MUST HAVES
3-5 years of graphic design experience, ideally within financial services, asset management or a similarly regulated and compliance-conscious industry. Demonstrated experience designing for sophisticated, high-end audiences within a premium brand environment Proven ability to work efficiently and independently, applying strong design judgment across imagery, color, and visual hierarchy while maintaining strict brand adherence. High-volume output capacity with the ability to deliver quality work across a large number of materials on concurrent timelines. Meticulous attention to detail, with clear communication and the ability to manage priorities, flag questions early, and keep stakeholders informed. Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop in particular). Proficiency in digital design specifications and production requirements across channels including social and display, with an understanding of platform constraints and UX/UI best practices.
Preferred Skills:
Experience/proficiency with Figma preferred. Experience in Canva/Adobe Express a plus.
Engagement Details This is a project-based contract role expected to run for approximately five months, with potential to extend based on scope. Full-time equivalent commitment preferred.
Please include: Interview availability for the next 2-3 weeks from time of submittal Confirmation on which office they will be working from.
If Jersey City, confirm they are OK coming to the NYC office for training the first 2-3 weeks and able to come into the office for meetings bi-weekly/for important meetings. Portfolio Link and passcode (if needed)
Ensure both Print and digital are included in the portfolio.
