Physical Therapy Assistant

At Paramount, the PTA will implement the treatment plan customized from the PT during evaluation and guide the patients through exercises and training.

Would you like to become a better clinician and gain experience in Manual Therapy, Aqua Therapy, Orthopedic, Pediatric, LSVT Big Program, Neurology, a balance expert or in Women's Health?

• Meets the patient's goals and needs and provides quality care to each patient.
• Provides treatment to patients as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Records treatments given in patients record. Instructs families and staff in maintenance programs at discharge as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Communicate with the supervisor/Administrator and other interdisciplinary team members regarding the patient's progress, problems and plans as indicated.
• Participates in patient care conferences and rehabilitation meetings as indicated. Participates in facility in service training programs.
• Assists with cleaning and maintenance of treatment area and department.
• Maintains patient's confidence and keeping information confidential as per HIPAA guidelines.
• Protects patient and associates by adhering to infection control policies and protocols. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with department procedures, rules and regulations.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
