Role Type: Full-time, Onsite
Location: Downtown Dallas, TX
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary ranges from $65,000 - $90,000 DOE
- Parking: Paid by the firm (lot is very close but not underneath the building)
- Medical & Dental Insurance - Employee-only premiums fully covered by the firm
- Profit Sharing - 3% of salary contributed from Day 1 (vesting schedule applies)
- Bonus - Discretionary, year-end bonus based on tenure
- Background in construction litigation ,
- Open to general commercial litigation backgrounds
- Must have experience supporting/defending businesses
- No personal injury plaintiff backgrounds
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work across multiple attorney needs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Will directly support 4 individuals
- Works within a pod system :
- Assigned to a primary group of attorneys
- Also supports other attorneys firmwide through a ticketing system (ARC) for overflow tasks
- Current open roles due to:
- Internal promotion into a paralegal position (growth opportunity)
- 5+ years of on-the-job experience at a Texas Law Firm performing complex administrative duties in a professional setting
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of legal billing software (preferably Aderant)
- Ability to type at a level of 70 WPM
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail with superior proofreading abilities
- Working knowledge of creating and editing legal documents
- Strong understanding of the county and state court systems
- Ability to successfully work in a fast-paced environment
- Organize and maintain correspondence, document, and computer-based files
- Provide telephone coverage for team, deliver messages
- Teleconferencing and arranging conference calls
- Arranges appointments, coordinate meetings, makes travel arrangements (including flight/hotel reservations), and submits reimbursement requests
- Perform various support services (e.g., courier deliveries, document processing center assistance, conference room reservations)
- Work with a variety of assigned attorneys and practice group areas as needed
- Work on complex organizational charts
- E-filing in state and federal courts experience necessary
- Draft legal documents
- Prepare electronic closing binders
- Assist with the preparation of private offering documents
- Arrange attendance for CLE course and keep track of attorney CLE hours
- Review, correct, and disburse pre-bills and invoice
Pay Details: $65,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
