Medical Assistant
Responsibilities:
- Perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, documenting patient information, and assisting with medical examinations.
- Draw up injections and medications as directed by healthcare providers.
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Assist with minor surgical procedures and provide post-operative care.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing.
- Provide patient education on medical conditions, treatments, and medications.
- Schedule appointments, manage patient records, and handle medical administrative tasks.
- Travel to Edison office twice a week. Must have reliable transportation.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to accurately assess patients' conditions.
- Proficient in taking vital signs and recording patient information accurately.
- Familiarity with hospital procedures and protocols for patient care.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification to respond to medical emergencies.
- Knowledge of medical coding and billing processes.
- Excellent patient service skills to provide compassionate care and support.
- Ability to provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
Job Types: Full-time.
Pay: $25.00 per hour.
Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week.
