Sales Associates are the foundation of the Velvet Box customer experience. This is a hands-on, customer-facing retail role that requires confidence, strong communication skills, and comfort engaging in consultative sales conversations. Associates guide customers with discretion and professionalism, educate thoughtfully, and work toward sales goals while maintaining store standards. This is not a passive retail role. Success comes from presence, consistency, and follow-through. Key responsibilities include providing elevated, consultative customer service through education and product guidance, creating a welcoming, discreet, and professional environment for all guests, maintaining strong knowledge of products and confidently explaining features and benefits, accurately processing transactions using point-of-sale systems, assisting with inventory, receiving shipments, and restocking merchandise, maintaining store cleanliness, organization, and visual standards, following all store procedures related to safety, cash handling, and operations, and working collaboratively with team members and leadership to support store goals. We are looking for someone with retail, hospitality, or customer-facing experience required, strong communication skills with a calm, approachable presence, professionalism, dependability, and punctuality, comfort engaging in consultative conversations with customers, detail-oriented and able to follow procedures accurately, comfortable working in an intimacy and wellness retail environment with discretion, and availability to work evenings and weekends.
