The Graphic Designer supports the California Baptist University Marketing and Communications team by providing graphic design services that advance the University's marketing and branding efforts. This role contributes to various design projects, including but not limited to digital, print, advertising, and social media, while ensuring consistency with established brand standards. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Demonstrated ability and willingness to live and uphold the University's Christ-centered mission and values. Ability to develop creative concepts and translate strategy into visual solutions. Strong portfolio demonstrating versatility across digital and print media. Understanding of branding, marketing, and design principles. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign required). Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and incorporate feedback. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, video, social media, and leadership. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities while maintaining high-quality standards. Knowledge of specifications for web, social media platforms, and large-format outputs, such as billboards, signage, and related. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; and requires sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate a computer keyboard or other office equipment. Requires visual acuity to read words and numbers, and speaking and hearing ability sufficient to communicate in person or over the phone. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Light physical activity. Work may involve occasional assistance of others in the manipulation of heavy objects and some standing or walking, usually for not more than 2 hours a day. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Work normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment, with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards. Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Graphic Design or related field, or one to two years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Successful experience in a related field that requires strong organizational and relational skills.
