As a Physical Therapist 2, you will perform comprehensive assessments, establish measurable treatment goals, and deliver therapeutic interventions including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, gait and balance training, neuromuscular re-education, functional mobility training, and patient and family education. You will document all care clearly and accurately in the electronic medical record, adhering to Methodist Health System policies, professional practice standards, and regulatory requirements.
You will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other rehabilitation professionals to coordinate care, recommend appropriate discharge plans, and ensure smooth transitions across the continuum of care. You will mentor and serve as a clinical resource to new graduates, therapy assistants, and students, modeling professional behavior consistent with Methodist Health System’s values of integrity, compassion, and accountability.
The ideal candidate is patient-centered, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing a caseload in a fast-paced hospital or outpatient environment. You should demonstrate strong clinical reasoning skills, excellent communication, and the ability to adapt treatment plans to diverse patient needs and cultural backgrounds. You will actively participate in quality improvement initiatives, contribute to program development, and support evidence-based practice through continuing education and the integration of current research into daily care.
