*Position Overview:* We are seeking a *Licensed Plumber or 4th Year Apprentice * to join our skilled mechanical services team. This role focuses on *new construction projects*, including mid-rise residential buildings, hospitality projects, commercial properties, and custom homes. The ideal candidate will be experienced in the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems, able to deliver high-quality work, and comfortable collaborating with other trades to ensure all construction projects meet our high standards. You will report to the VP of Mechanical Divisions.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Install plumbing systems for new construction projects, including water supply lines, drainage, and fixtures for mid-rise buildings, hotels, commercial builds, and custom homes.
* Perform detailed inspections to ensure plumbing systems are installed according to building codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
* Work closely with other trades, such as electricians and HVAC technicians, to ensure seamless integration of all mechanical systems.
* Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve plumbing issues in a timely and efficient manner.
* Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to meet project timelines and budgets.
* Follow blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute plumbing installations with precision.
* Maintain up-to-date documentation of work performed, including job notes, inspection reports, and compliance records.
* Mentor and supervise plumbing apprentices, ensuring high standards of workmanship and safety on the job site.
* Stay informed of changes to local building codes and industry best practices, implementing them in daily tasks.
* Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations on site.
*Qualifications:*
* *Licensed Plumber or 4th Year Apprentice* (Red Seal Certification preferred).
* Minimum of *3-5 years* of experience in plumbing, preferably with a focus on *new construction*.
* Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, building codes, and safety regulations.
* Experience working on a variety of construction projects, including mid-rise buildings, hotels, commercial spaces, and high-end residential homes.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
* Proficient with plumbing tools, equipment, and the latest installation techniques.
* Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills for working effectively with multiple trades.
* *Valid driver's license* and a clean driving record.
* Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
*Preferred Experience:*
* Knowledge and experience with large-scale commercial or hospitality plumbing systems.
* Familiarity with plumbing installations in custom home builds.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
