About the Role
We're looking for a CT-certified Technologist (Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN Day Shift) who takes pride in delivering high-quality CT imaging and exceptional patient care. This position is primarily responsible for CT services across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings.
As part of a small, team-oriented department, this role also requires active participation in general radiography (X-ray) duties to support overall workflow and patient care needs. Flexibility and teamwork are essential to ensure timely, efficient service across all areas of imaging.
This position includes rotating holiday coverage and occasional weekend, evening, or call coverage as needed.
What You'll Do
Perform CT examinations in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
Administer IV contrast safely and effectively, monitoring patients for reactions and responding appropriately
Ensure optimal image quality through proper patient positioning, protocol selection, and equipment operation
Follow radiation safety (ALARA) principles to minimize exposure to patients and staff
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and fellow technologists to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis
Support imaging needs across ER, inpatient, outpatient, and surgical settings
Assist with general radiography exams as needed to support workflow
Provide compassionate care and clear communication to patients and families
Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to HIPAA, contrast safety, and hospital protocols
Participate in quality improvement, equipment maintenance awareness, and department readiness
Assist in training and onboarding new staff as applicable
Stay current with continuing education and CT advancements
What We're Looking For
Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology
ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications required
Valid Illinois Radiology license
CPR/AED certification required
Experience with CT imaging, protocols, and contrast administration
Willingness and ability to perform both CT and general X-ray exams as needed
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented, patient-centered approach
Ability to adapt and contribute in a small, fast-paced environment
Physical DemandsAbility to stand or walk for extended periods and move between tasks
Ability to hear and communicate effectively in person and by phone
Ability to perform fine motor tasks (computer work, documentation, equipment operation)
Ability to bend, twist, stoop, crouch, and reach as needed
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 50 pounds; push/pull equipment and carts
