Why you should apply: • Competitive starting pay of $16 per hour • Flexible schedule options • Opportunity for a sign-on bonus • Learn valuable skills in sales, retail, and customer support Overview: Customer Service & Sales: • Greeting and assisting customers: Welcoming customers, understanding their needs, and helping them find what they're looking for. • Product knowledge: Being knowledgeable about the products in the store and providing helpful recommendations. • Handling customer inquiries: Answering questions and addressing concerns. • Processing sales transactions: Operating a cash register, scanning merchandise, and handling payments. • Suggestive selling: Encouraging customers to purchase additional items or services. Store Maintenance & Operations: • Stocking shelves and maintaining displays: Ensuring that products are well-stocked and organized. • Keeping the store clean and tidy: Maintaining a clean and organized sales floor and stockroom. • Assisting with merchandise resets: Helping to implement changes to the layout of the store. • Assisting with special orders: Processing special orders and ensuring they are delivered on time. • Performing tasks in service areas: Assisting with tasks like key cutting, paint mixing, and make creating hydraulic hoses. • Participating in store meetings: Staying informed about store policies and procedures. • Learning Opportunities: Working at a hardware store can provide opportunities to learn about various trades and skills, such as plumbing, electrical work, gardening, and more. • Other duties as assigned.
