This position is for a mechanical engineer to provide design and support for the Otis Gen3 products. The position will play a crucial role in maintaining product integrity, evaluating opportunities, and integrating new component designs into existing systems, while working to meet agreed upon cost, reliability, and schedule commitments. Typical responsibilities include structural analysis, design, implementation, and testing of a wide range of elevator components. The candidate should have a strong mechanical engineering background with experience working in a cross functional team environment. Skills: Sound mechanical engineering background (mechanical and system modeling and design, component modeling and design) Creo / Pro Engineer Mechanical structural analysis with Ansys or other FEA Software Design documentation with Mathcad Hands-on testing experience Strong communications and leadership ability Experience with test and measurement equipment Elevator systems knowledge preferred but not required Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software Key Responsibilities: To collaborate with key stakeholders, to understand business objectives and work with them to integrate design thinking into software/product development. To lead a team of designers, provide guidance, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality design solutions in alignment with the overall business goals. To present design concepts and strategies to stakeholders and gather feedback. To establish and maintain design standards, guidelines, and best practices. To stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies to drive innovation and excellence in design. Compensation and Benefits: A candidate's pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
