Develop and execute sales plans, interpret construction plans and specifications to build accurate estimates, drive contractor bids to a close, and partner with internal engineering and operations teams to deliver BAS/BMS solutions that meet customer needs. This is an entry-level position with the growth trajectory to sales executive.
Responsibilities- Work closely with experienced sales executives and estimating team to propose small service and construction projects
- Interpret plans and specifications and develop estimates
- Use technical (mechanical, electrical, computer) knowledge to put together a thoughtful bid
- Manage the bidding process including soliciting subcontractor pricing and vendor quotes, reviewing the scope with bidding contractors, and providing proposals on time
- Visit customer sites and develop project scopes of work
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products and services to customers.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market feedback in the CRM system.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, a related field or equivalent industry experience
- Engineering and technical aptitude
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experienced in working independently and managing time effectively
- Interest in learning sales principles and customer relationship management.
- Ability to interpret plans & specifications and estimate projects.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
- 2+ years of experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) or related technologies.
- Sales or customer relationship experience
- Familiarity with construction plans and specifications
- Estimating experience

- Must be able to effectively communicate in English, (ie see, hear, speak and write clearly) in order to communicate with colleagues and/or customers
- Manual dexterity required for occasional reaching, lifting of light office objects, and operating office equipment
- Sitting, standing, walking in office environments and construction sites
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and may be required to work at heights over 1.8m (6 feet)
In general, the following conditions of the work environment are representative of those that an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
- The office is clean, orderly, properly lighted and ventilated. Noise levels are considered low to moderate
- Will be required to be on site with customers or contractors, with or without Bosch Building Technologies colleagues to manage the expectations and deliverables. Sites range from general office environments to new construction.
- Driving to customer sites is required
- Limited overnight travel may be required
- Compensation: $60,000 - $90,000
- Working Hours: This position generally works Monday- Friday, overtime and on call when necessary
- Travel Requirements: Local when needed
