Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a Rad Tech (Weekend Option – WEO) to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team, providing high-quality diagnostic imaging for patients in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. As a Rad Tech, you will perform a variety of radiologic procedures, ensuring accurate imaging while prioritizing patient safety, comfort, and privacy. You will prepare patients for exams, verify orders, position patients correctly, operate digital and fluoroscopic radiographic equipment, and ensure images meet diagnostic quality standards for interpretation by radiologists and providers.
You will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other members of the care team across Piedmont’s hospitals and outpatient settings, contributing to efficient clinical workflows and excellent patient outcomes. Responsibilities include following all radiation safety and infection prevention protocols, properly shielding patients, maintaining accurate patient records within the electronic medical record and PACS, and assisting with contrast studies as authorized. You will also help triage imaging priorities, support emergent and STAT exams, and provide compassionate, age-appropriate care to a diverse patient population.
This Weekend Option role is designed for technologists who prefer working scheduled weekend shifts, often with premium pay differentials, supporting 24/7 operations. You will play a key role in ensuring consistent imaging services during high-need weekend hours. Piedmont Healthcare offers a collaborative culture grounded in respect, innovation, and teamwork, where you are encouraged to contribute ideas to improve quality, safety, and patient experience. You will have opportunities for ongoing training, cross-training in additional modalities as available, and professional development to support career advancement within our system.
The ideal candidate is a registered radiologic technologist with strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities. You should be comfortable working independently during weekend shifts, managing multiple priorities, and supporting both scheduled and emergency imaging needs. A commitment to patient-centered care, reliability, and adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards is essential. By joining Piedmont Healthcare, you will help deliver comprehensive care to communities across Georgia while growing professionally in a supportive, inclusive environment.
