The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing all daily operations of the manufacturing facility, ensuring production runs safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company goals. This role leads cross-functional teams—including Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and HR—to drive performance in safety, quality, productivity, and cost. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with strong technical knowledge, a commitment to continuous improvement, and proven experience managing high-performance teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all plant operations to meet or exceed safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Develop and execute production plans aligned with company objectives and customer demand.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions when targets are not met.
- Manage plant budgets, cost control, and capital expenditures to achieve financial goals.
- Oversee workforce planning, training, and development to ensure a skilled, engaged, and motivated team.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and process optimization.
- Partner with Quality to uphold and enhance product standards and compliance requirements.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence throughout the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- Minimum 8–10 years of progressive manufacturing experience, including 5+ years in a plant leadership role.
- Proven track record of improving safety, efficiency, and quality metrics.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and/or Continuous Improvement principles.
- Experience managing P&L and operational budgets.
- Proficient in ERP systems and MS Office Suite.
