We’re hiring a Principal Embedded Software Engineer to take ownership of a full embedded firmware platform powering real-world, deployed hardware systems. This is a high-impact role for someone who wants to move beyond feature development and
own architecture, reliability, and long-term technical direction
across an entire product ecosystem. What You’ll Do Define and own the
end-to-end embedded firmware architecture
(RTOS, HAL, bootloaders, device infrastructure) Lead the transition from
prototype systems to production-grade, scalable firmware Build and manage
OTA firmware update systems
and ensure fleet reliability at scale Act as the
technical authority
for embedded systems — driving design decisions, debugging complex issues, and improving system stability Mentor engineers and establish
best practices, coding standards, and architectural direction What We’re Looking For 8+ years of experience in
embedded firmware development Expert-level programming in
C/C++
in microcontroller or bare-metal environments Deep experience with
RTOS systems
(FreeRTOS, Zephyr, or similar) Proven track record of taking
firmware from prototype to production , across shipped products Experience managing
connected device fleets , including OTA updates and failure recovery Strong system-level thinking — ability to design beyond a single component Nice to Have Experience with
hardware debugging tools
(oscilloscope, logic analyzer, JTAG) Familiarity with
serial protocols
(SPI, CAN, I2C, UART) Exposure to
secure xywuqvp boot, device security, or safety-critical systems Background in industries with real-time constraints (hardware, IoT, automotive, robotics, etc.) Why This Role True ownership
— you define the architecture, not maintain legacy code Opportunity to build a
production-grade firmware platform from the ground up Work on systems deployed in the real world, not just prototypes Strong compensation + equity f you’re interested in owning the “brain” behind complex hardware systems and building something from the ground up, we should talk.
