For 35+ years we've been providing innovative ticketing software solutions to some pretty cool industries including amusement parks, museums, attractions, zoos, and aquariums. We work with globally recognized destinations as well as lesser-known but locally loved attractions on six continents. Now, we are looking to add an experienced, customer-focused tech resource to our technical support team.
Job DescriptionThe Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for driving outbound prospecting efforts, qualifying inbound leads, and conducting research to identify new business opportunities. The BDR will report directly to our Director of Sales and work very closely with our Business Solutions Architects to drive sales.
Experience- Bachelor's Degree or combination of education and experience.
- 2+ years experience in sales, business development, or a related role
- 2+ years experience in Software or related industry
- Experience with CRM Systems preferably Microsoft Dynamics
- Experience in the Attractions Industry or Visitor Experience Management, a plus.
- Willingness and ability to quickly learn new sales tools and processes.
Sales & Technical Skills
- Maintain a strong understanding of Gateway's solutions and value propositions.
- A demonstrated proficiency of Microsoft Office 365 programs
- Proficiency in CRM software for tracking leads, outreach, and pipeline management
- Ability to research and identify ideal customer profiles (ICPs) and key decision-makers
- Strong understanding of sales funnels, lead nurturing, and qualification processes
Soft Skills
- Excellent written and verbal interpersonal and communication skills, including exhibiting professionalism and diplomacy when working with customers & prospects.
- Ability to work/communicate to all levels of management and knowledge-based personnel and always keep a professional demeanor.
- Maintains focus through rejection and continues driving prospecting efforts
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple prospects and outreach sequences efficiently.
- Ability to collaborate with Marketing, Business Solutions, Finance, and other departments.
- Results-oriented mindset with the ability to meet and exceed lead generation targets
- Working additional hours beyond regularly scheduled hours as requested by management.
- Understanding of the necessity to meet deadlines and performance metrics
- Travel 10% - domestically and internationally; some weekends required.
- Execute structured outbound prospecting campaigns, including cold calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach
- Qualify inbound leads through discovery calls and research to determine fit and sales potential.
- Develop and maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified leads to support sales objectives.
- Assist in defining and refining lead generation strategies based on market feedback.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in CRM systems to track outreach, engagement, and follow-ups.
- Collaborate with Business Solutions and Marketing to refine messaging and improve outreach effectiveness.
- Schedule and coordinate sales meetings between prospects and Business Solution Architects.
- Participate in weekly pipeline reviews and strategy sessions to optimize lead conversion.
- Complete all tasks and handle all situations in accordance with Gateway's Core Values.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, or participating in professional organizations.
- Communicate in a clear, concise, and timely manner, including voicemail and email.
- Always promote and uphold the values, mission, and vision of the company.

- Perform other tasks as required by management.
