The Assistant Manager ensures the delivery of the Target Optical Way and the Guest Experience. The successful employee will demonstrate leadership competencies such as clear communication, team building, thinking critically, collaboration, and driving results while styling our guests.
Major duties and responsibilities include partnering with the Optical Store Manager to build plans to deliver profitable store sales, delivering the daily sales goal by flawless execution of the WOW! Guest Experience behaviors, ensuring, influencing and inspiring the team to deliver a simple, fun and in-style fashion experience, providing floor leadership to ensure that guests will receive a "best in class" experience, creating, living and teaching the culture to build brand awareness by attracting new guests daily, supporting the Optical Store Manager with maintaining professional business partnerships, proactively recruiting, interviewing, training, developing, motivating and retaining Brand right Optical Team Members, supporting Store Manager with Team Member accountability, ensuring compliance with all current Brand initiatives, partnering with Store Manager to ensure all operating policies and procedures are followed, and modeling the Target Optical Personal Style Dress Code.
Basic qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, ABO Certified (Preferred), 2+ years retail or customer service experience, selling skills, self-motivation, selection and recruitment, critical thinking, collaborative, accountable to results, coach and develop others. Pay range is $31.77. Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package. Benefits may include health care, retirement savings, paid time off/vacation, and various employee discounts.
