Responsibilities
The Content Writer is responsible for independently developing high-quality, engaging and strategically aligned content that supports the credit union's marketing, brand and business goals. This role creates and refines content across multiple formats and channels including website pages, blogs, email campaigns, social media and traditional and digital marketing initiatives while ensuring accuracy, consistency and brand alignment.
Reporting to the Content Team Lead, the Content Writer partners closely with marketing, creative and subject matter teams to execute content strategies, contribute ideas and optimize content based on performance insights. This role requires strong writing and editing skills, sound judgment and the ability to manage multiple projects with limited oversight.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Independently write, edit and proofread content across traditional and digital marketing channels, including websites, blogs, emails, social media and omnichannel campaigns • Ensure all content adheres to brand voice, tone, messaging frameworks and AP Style guidelines • Apply SEO best practices and audience insights to improve content effectiveness and reach • Collaborate cross-functionally with designers, marketers and stakeholders to develop content that supports campaign and business objectives • Manage assigned projects and deadlines with minimal supervision • Revise and optimize content based on feedback, data and performance metrics • Contribute ideas to content planning, editorial calendars and ongoing content strategy discussions • Lead or support content audits, updates and large-scale content initiatives as needed • Serve as a reliable execution partner to the Content Team Lead, escalating risks or gaps proactively
SKILLS • Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills across multiple content formats • Advanced knowledge of AP Style • Excellent attention to detail and quality control • Ability to adapt voice, tone and messaging for different audiences and channels • Solid understanding of SEO, digital content best practices and performance-driven content • Experience working in content management systems and project management tools • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities • Effective communication and collaboration skills

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing • Visually able to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading • Ability to sit for extended time periods • Sufficient manual skill for operation of PC keyboard and other standard office equipment • Ability to travel, including occasional overnight travel • Ability to exert minimum amounts of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects

We are excited to offer a competitive salary for this position. This figure serves as the entry point in our salary range, and there is potential for the actual salary to be higher based on a variety of factors, such as your experience, skills, education, and location. We believe in recognizing and rewarding talent, so our compensation packages are thoughtfully designed to reflect the unique qualifications and contributions of each candidate.
