Yard Worker

The Yard Associate is part of a team dedicated to customer service, order preparation, and loading operations, while working safely at all times.

• Greet customers in the yard and assist them with questions and product selection
• Verify that quantities on documents match the order
• Assist customers with loading their vehicles
• Ensure accurate product selection
• Help prepare customer orders
• Organize and stock materials in the yard and warehouse
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the lumber yard
• Load and unload trucks using a forklift
• Perform other related duties as required

• Punctual, reliable, and in good physical condition
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Strong customer service skills
• 0 to 2 years of experience as a yard associate (an asset)
• Knowledge of construction materials
• Day shift schedule, including every other Saturday
• Ability to work under pressure and perform physically demanding tasks
• Forklift operating experience (an asset)
