Physical Therapy Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and their families by helping them develop the skills needed to achieve greater independence and success in everyday life. You will work closely with our Physical Therapists to deliver engaging, evidence-based therapy services that empower children to overcome challenges and reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:

• Assist Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans.
• Provide direct therapy services to children under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for each patient.
• Educate and support families on therapy techniques and strategies to use at home.
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and continuing education requirements.

Requirements:

• Active Louisiana license.
• Ability to manage patients with different involvement levels.
• Willingness to learn and develop skill set.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Attention to detail, patience, and empathy.
