Business Analyst, ERP Modernization

Vaco is seeking an

Intermediate / Mid-Level Business Analyst

to support a modernization initiative for a Phoenix-based client. This role will work alongside an SME-level consultant who serves as the primary Oracle ERP product expert, allowing this hire to focus more on

technical documentation, UAT execution, and business process analysis .

As a

Technical Business Analyst , you will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and IT, ensuring clear documentation of requirements and thorough validation of testing efforts. Prior experience in

technical documentation and user acceptance testing (UAT) is essential , while

Oracle ERP experience is a plus but not required .

We are looking to

schedule interviews ASAP

for qualified candidates, as this is an urgent need. This role will be

hybrid (2-3 days in office in North Phoenix/Scottsdale)

and is expected to be a contract position through the end of the year, with potential for extension or conversion.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Documentation:

Create and maintain

detailed functional, system (non-functional), user, and reporting requirements , including

Use Cases, Process Flow Diagrams, Report Specifications, and Data Mapping & Flow Diagrams .

User Acceptance Testing (UAT):

Support UAT planning and execution, ensuring thorough testing and validation of system enhancements.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

Act as a liaison between

business teams and IT , analyzing functional business needs and documenting solution requirements.

Process Improvement:

Assist in optimizing workflows and ensuring software solutions align with business standards and objectives.

Data Analysis:

Perform profiling and analysis of data from source systems to support business decisions.

Project Feasibility & Scope Control:

Support feasibility studies, help define project scope, and assist in release scheduling.

Knowledge Transfer & Status Reporting:

Provide updates to stakeholders and assist with training and documentation handoffs.

Preferred Experience:

3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst , preferably in a technical or software implementation environment.

Strong expertise in technical documentation and process mapping.

Proven experience in UAT coordination and execution.

Experience with Oracle ERP (nice to have, but not required).

Prior work with external implementation partners is a plus.

Basic SQL knowledge for data analysis (preferred, but not required).
