Living in Spokane:

If you're looking for a place that feels both grounded and quietly spectacular, look no further than Spokane. Known as the "Lilac City," Spokane is blooming with beauty and vibrance. Deep in the heart of Downtown Spokane is nestled Riverfront Park where the Spokane River crashes through basalt cliffs and is very dramatic in the spring when the snowmelt turns it into a roaring centerpiece.

Riverfront Park has a relaxed, easy, lived-in energy where people spend time; morning coffee walks, evening concerts, seasonal events and watching the gondolas drift over the river.

What really sets Spokane apart is how close everything is. Within an hour, often less, your options open up to adventures in nature:

  • Ski or snowboarding at Mt. Spokane in the winter

  • Paddleboarding or swimming on Lake Coeur D'Alene in the summer

  • Hiking forests, waterfalls and ridgelines in Riverside State Park

  • Within minutes of 16+ golf courses in the Greater Spokane and Inland Northwest area

Four seasons put on a show in Spokane with crisp, colorful autumns that smell like leaves and woodsmoke. Winters with real snow. Spring explodes with colors and rushing waters of the Spokane River. Rounding out with warm, golden summers with long evenings and dry air.

The vibe of Spokane has good coffee, local breweries, growing food scene and neighbors that feel like neighbors. The culture is filled with mansions, museums, music, historic hotels, old theaters and the old-world elegance of the Davenport Hotel.

The most underrated part is the balance you find in Spokane. It is an affordable space to live, breathe easier and still have access to the things that matter - healthcare, schools, arts and an airport that connects you outward.

The name "Spokane" is often translated as "Children of the Sun," which is fitting given the region's bright summers and open skies. It's charming in a way that feels relaxed and comfortable.
