Are you ready to take your culinary career to the next level? We’re on the lookout for a Junior Kitchen Manager to join our vibrant Butlin’s Buffets Department in Skegness!
In this exciting role, you’ll report directly to the Kitchen Manager and play a crucial part in leading a talented team of chefs. You’ll step up in the Kitchen Manager's absence and ensure that our kitchen runs smoothly, delivering exceptional experiences for our guests every day.
Your passion for excellence will shine as you monitor performance and develop action plans focused on continuous improvement. With your strong leadership skills, you’ll inspire your team through daily briefings, manage stock control, and ensure our food presentation is top-notch.
Financial performance is key, and you’ll be responsible for delivering food cost budgets through effective menu planning and adhering to cooking standards. You’ll also uphold food hygiene standards and health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with legislation and company policies.
As a role model for Butlin’s unique way of working, you’ll implement training schedules and performance development plans, motivating your team to create memorable experiences for our guests. Join us in our main buffet restaurant, where you’ll have the chance to lead and develop a team serving guests on a half-board dining package!
We’re looking for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and have experience in a similar role with high-volume service. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Support the Kitchen Manager in daily operations and step up in their absence.
- Lead a team of chefs, fostering a positive and energetic work environment.
- Monitor and improve guest experiences through regular feedback and action plans.
- Manage stock control and ensure food presentation meets our high standards.
- Deliver food cost budgets through effective menu planning and cooking.
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene standards and health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A Level 3 Food Safety qualification.
- Experience in a high-volume kitchen environment.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- A fun-loving spirit and a passion for guest satisfaction!
This role covers a 5-day working week over 7 days, totaling 40 hours, including evenings and weekends. Please note that this position does not come with onsite accommodation.
