Position Summary

The Associate Facility Service Manager is responsible for the day‑to‑day maintenance, reliability, and safety of facility infrastructure and material handling equipment within a smaller distribution center environment. The role provides direct leadership to 3–8 technical and mechanical associates and exercises operational decision‑making authority over preventive and corrective maintenance priorities, vendor coordination, and equipment uptime. This position has a direct operational impact on service reliability, safety performance, and cost control while supporting a less complex operation with limited automation and technology. Business complexity is moderate and requires close collaboration with Operations, Safety, and Network Facility Service Managers to ensure consistent standards, risk mitigation, and reliable distribution center performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop, implement, and support effective maintenance strategies and execution

  • Identify opportunities to improve safety, reliability, and resiliency in the DC

  • Partner with cross functional departments, Supply Chain and appropriate DCs personnel to ensure facility compliance with all regulations and policies in assigned areas of responsibility.

  • Effectively manage maintenance colleagues, focused on optimizing safe work practices and adherence to CVS standards and policies

  • Coordinate equipment assessments, remediation plans, expense controls and budget planning within responsibilities 


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of people management or leadership experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in maintenance planning and budgeting

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with maintenance practices for critical operating equipment, including:

- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)

- Hazard identification

- Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

  • 3 years of experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), procurement platforms, and service ticketing systems


Preferred Qualifications

  • Engineering degree or background (Industrial, Systems, Mechanical, Electrical)

  • OSHA certifications (10, 30, 50)

  • Additional certifications in Industrial Safety or First Aid

  • Competency in Ariba Procurement and Service Channel systems

  • Fluent in the Microsoft Suite of product as well as AutoCad

  • Understanding of conveyor controls and technologies

  • Strong analytical capabilities using tools such as CMMS and SAP

  • Subject matter expertise in powered industrial equipment


Education

  • Verifiable High School Diploma or GED

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$50,188.00 - $122,400.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
