Our client is looking to add a detail-driven Accounts Receivable Specialist to their growing finance team in Norcross. This position plays a key role in supporting cash flow by overseeing billing activities, monitoring customer payments, and maintaining accurate receivable records. The ideal candidate is organized, communicative, and comfortable working with accounting systems in a deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, review, and issue customer invoices accurately and on schedule.
  • Apply and post customer payments, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
  • Maintain accounts receivable aging and follow up on past-due balances.
  • Research and resolve payment discrepancies, short pays, and unapplied cash.
  • Verify supporting documentation for invoices and payment processing.
  • Respond promptly to internal and external inquiries related to billing and collections.
  • Partner with sales, customer service, and accounting teams to resolve account issues.
  • Assist with month-end close activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Generate and analyze AR reports to support management and audit requests.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline preferred.
  • 2-3 years of hands-on accounts receivable or general accounting experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
  • Experience using accounting or ERP systems (QuickBooks, Oracle, SAP, or similar).
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a fast-paced or high-volume AR environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP platforms and automated billing systems.
  • Understanding of Georgia-based accounting or compliance requirements.
  • Prior involvement in audits or financial reporting support.
Pay Details: $26.00 to $28.00 per hour
