Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and issue customer invoices accurately and on schedule.
- Apply and post customer payments, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
- Maintain accounts receivable aging and follow up on past-due balances.
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies, short pays, and unapplied cash.
- Verify supporting documentation for invoices and payment processing.
- Respond promptly to internal and external inquiries related to billing and collections.
- Partner with sales, customer service, and accounting teams to resolve account issues.
- Assist with month-end close activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.
- Generate and analyze AR reports to support management and audit requests.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and regulatory guidelines.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline preferred.
- 2-3 years of hands-on accounts receivable or general accounting experience.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
- Experience using accounting or ERP systems (QuickBooks, Oracle, SAP, or similar).
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and within a team environment.
- Experience in a fast-paced or high-volume AR environment.
- Familiarity with ERP platforms and automated billing systems.
- Understanding of Georgia-based accounting or compliance requirements.
- Prior involvement in audits or financial reporting support.
