Join Clarke Energy as an Electrical Design Engineer At Clarke Energy, our Electrical Design Engineers play a vital role in shaping the energy systems that power hospitals, industry and communities across the UK and beyond. From early concept through to installation and commissioning, youll be closely involved in designing reliable, low-carbon power generation solutions that genuinely make a difference. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving real-world problems, collaborating across disciplines and seeing their designs come to life on site. Youll work within a supportive, knowledgeable engineering team where quality, safety and continuous improvement are taken seriously
but people always come first. What youll be doing Designing resilient, real-world power systems Youll take conceptual electrical designs and develop them into fully engineered solutions that meet contractual, technical and regulatory requirements. This will include producing specifications, calculations, equipment selection and detailed design documentation for a wide range of technologies including gas-powered generation, CHP, battery energy storage systems (BESS), hydrogen, solar, wind and microgrids. Youll carry out power system studies such as load flows, fault analysis, protection studies, harmonic assessments (G5/5), voltage flicker (P28) and G99 simulations
