Methodist Health System is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department, offering a $15,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates. As an ED Registered Nurse in our Healthcare & Medical Services team, you will provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients presenting with a wide range of urgent and emergent conditions. You will perform rapid assessments, prioritize and implement evidence-based interventions, administer medications and treatments, coordinate diagnostic testing, and closely monitor patients’ responses to care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Working collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, technicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary team, you will play a key role in stabilizing critically ill or injured patients and ensuring safe, timely transitions of care. Responsibilities include triaging patients according to established protocols, initiating critical care measures such as IV access, cardiac monitoring, and oxygen therapy, interpreting and responding to changes in vital signs and patient status, providing age-appropriate patient and family education, and maintaining accurate, thorough documentation in the electronic health record. You will adhere to infection prevention and patient safety standards, follow all emergency response protocols, and actively participate in quality improvement initiatives within the Emergency Department. The ideal candidate is a Registered Nurse with prior emergency or critical care experience, strong clinical assessment and IV skills, proficiency in cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring, and the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure. Candidates should be comfortable using electronic medical records, IV pumps, and standard emergency care equipment, and must demonstrate excellent communication skills, sound clinical judgment, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
